Real-time wildfires, earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions & severe storms — powered by NASA Earth Observatory
NASA EONET (Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker) is a curated, machine-readable source of natural event data collected by NASA. It aggregates reports from satellite imagery, ground sensors, and scientific instruments to track natural events around the globe in real-time.
AURA-AI displays EONET data on an interactive live map and event grid, updated continuously so you can monitor active wildfires, earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, severe storms, and more — as they happen.
EONET aggregates data from multiple NASA and partner systems: MODIS Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) for wildfires, USGS Earthquake Hazards Program for seismic events, NOAA National Hurricane Center for tropical storms, Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program for volcanic activity, and National Ice Center for sea ice changes.
All events include geolocation coordinates, event start date, source links, and current status (active or closed), allowing precise monitoring on the interactive map.
